ตามประวัติ พระอาจารย์อึ่ง เป็นศิษย์ของหลวงปู่ผล อักกโชติ (พระศีลาจารพิพัฒน์) อดีตเจ้าอาวาสและเจ้าคณะเขตพญาไท พระเกจิอาจารย์ชื่อดังย่านบางซื่อ
ประวัติหลวงพ่ออึ่ง วัดเซิงหวาย นามเดิมว่า สุเทพ ศรีเอี่ยม เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 24 พฤศจิกายน 2504 เป็นชาวบางซื่อโดยกำเนิด บรรพชาเป็นสามเณร เมื่ออายุ 14 ปี ที่วัดคลองโดน จ.สมุทร สงคราม กระทั่งอายุครบ 20 ปี จึงได้ลาสิกขา คัดเลือกเป็นทหารกองประจำการ จนปลดประจำการ
จนอายุ 25 ปี จึงได้อุปสมบทเป็นพระภิกษุ ที่วัดเซิงหวาย โดยมี พระศีลาจารพิพัฒน์ (หลวงปู่ผล อักกโชติ) เป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์ หลวงพ่อพา วัดบางโพ เป็นพระกรรมวาจาจารย์ และ พระอาจารย์สาคร วัดเซิงหวาย เป็นพระอนุสาวนาจารย์ ได้รับฉายาว่า “สุทธสีโล”
พระอาจารย์อึ่ง วัดเซิงหวาย ท่านได้รับใช้หลวงปู่ผล ศึกษาเล่าเรียนพระธรรมวินัย พร้อมได้รับการอบรมสั่งสอนจากหลวงปู่ผล กระทั่งมรณภาพลง เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2547 สังขารของหลวงปู่ผล ไม่เน่าไม่เปื่อยเฉกเช่นพระปฏิบัติดีปฏิบัติชอบในอดีตอีกหลายรูป
วัตถุมงคลของ “พระอาจารย์อึ่ง” ในยุคแรกๆ จะมีผงของหลวงปู่ผล ที่มอบไว้ให้เป็นส่วนผสม เช่น หน้าบรมครูพ่อแก่ฤๅษี และพระพิราพ ฝังตะกรุดแกะสลักลงยันต์ เขียนด้วยหมึกเรียกว่า ทำมือล้วนๆ ปลุกเสกเอง แจกจ่ายให้ญาติโยมที่มาร่วมทำบุญ นำไปใช้ จนเป็นที่ร่ำลือในเรื่องพุทธคุณยิ่งนัก
การทำวัตถุมงคลของ พระอาจารย์อึ่ง ทุกรุ่น ท่านได้พิถีพิถันสร้างขึ้นมา ทำให้เป็นที่เสาะหาของนักนิยมเครื่อง รางของขลังและลูกศิษย์ลูกหาเป็นอย่างมาก ไม่ว่าจะเป็น หน้าพิราพ โดโซะ(ฤๅษีเดินดง) หน้าพระพักตร์ และเครื่องรางของขลังอื่นๆ
เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2552 พระอาจารย์อึ่ง ได้จัดพิธีไหว้ครูประจำปีขึ้น พร้อมทั้งจัดสร้าง “เหรียญฤๅษีเบิกไพร หลังจาร” ซึ่งเป็นเหรียญรุ่นแรก ทรงกลมเนื้อทองแดงรมดำ ที่พระอาจารย์อึ่งได้สร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อแจกจ่ายเป็นที่ระลึก ให้บรรดาลูกศิษย์ลูกหาไปบูชา พุทธคุณเด่นทางเมตตามหานิยม และป้องกันภัยอันตรายต่างๆ
“เหรียญฤๅษีเบิกไพร” พุทธลักษณะเป็นเหรียญปั๊มทรงกลมขนาด 5 เซนติเมตร ด้านหน้าของเหรียญเป็นรูปฤาษี 1 ตน นั่งอยู่ในป่าหิมพานต์ และด้านข้างขวามือของเหรียญมีตัวหนังสือ ว่า ฦฦๅ และยันต์อักขระ อุ อยู่ด้านบน ด้านซ้ายมือ เขียนว่า ฤฤๅ มียันต์อักขระ อุ อยู่ด้านบน
ด้านหลังของเหรียญฤๅษีเบิกไพรจะเรียบ จารอักขระ ด้วยลายมือของหลวงพ่ออึ่ง พร้อมทั้งตอกหมายเลขจำนวนเหรียญที่สร้าง 1,000 เหรียญ ข่าวเครื่องรางของขลัง เหรียญฤๅษีเบิกไพร นับเป็นเหรียญ รุ่นแรกที่พระอาจารย์อึ่งสร้างขึ้น
ด้วยได้ชื่อว่าเป็นพระเกจิอาจารย์ที่เชี่ยวชาญด้านคาถาอาคมขลัง วัตถุมงคลประเภทเครื่องรางของขลังของ “พระอาจารย์อึ่ง” จึงเป็นที่ปรารถนาของบรรดานักสะสมทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
