Takrut BaiLan (Leaf) – Luang Por Kaew, Wat Phuang Malai
Takrut Baim Lan, also known as Takrut Phisman or Baim Lan Bang Puen, is a famous Thai protective talisman created by Luang Por Kaew of Wat Phuang Malai, Samut Songkhram. It is traditionally regarded as one of Thailand's most respected sacred talismans.
The talisman is made from the young leaf of the Baim Lan palm, traditionally collected from trees near Bang Puen Canal. Sacred Khmer letters are inscribed onto the leaf, including the traditional “Phu Phi Phu Pha” script with “Mi” in the center.
According to traditional belief, its main power is protection and safety, especially against weapons and dangerous situations. It is also famous for the belief known as “Bang Puen”, meaning protection from gunfire.
