พระปิดตากระดูกผีวัดโพธิ์ เป็นหนึ่งในพิมพ์พระเครื่องติดวิญญาณในตระกูลของ “พระผงกระดูกผีวัดโพธิ์” ที่จำแนกแบ่งออกได้หลายพิมพ์ ถือเป็นหนึ่งพระเครื่องสายพราย (ผสมกระดูกผี) ที่มีประวัติความเป็นมาเก่าแก่ที่สุดของไทยและเป็นที่โจษจันกันมากถึงความศักดิ์สิทธิ์โดยเฉพาะในยุคสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 และสงครามอินโดจีน

จากข้อมูลที่มีบันทึกประวัติไว้นั้น ระบุว่าพระอาจารย์หนู พระเกจิอาจารย์ผู้เรืองเวทย์ชาวเขมร มีวิชาอาคมแก่กล้าและเชี่ยวชาญในไสยศาสตร์ ทั้งยังเป็นผู้สำเร็จวิชามหาภูต ได้เป็นผู้สร้างพระผงกระดูกผีวัดโพธิ์ ในช่วงประมาณปี 2480 จากมวลสารเถ้ากระดูก ผสมกับผงวิเศษและว่านอาถรรพ์ตามตำรา เพื่อแจกจ่ายให้แก่ชาวบ้าน, เจ้าหน้าที่, ทหาร, ตำรวจ เพื่อเป็นขวัญกำลังใจ และคุ้มครองพวกเขาเหล่านั้นให้แคล้วคลาดปลอดภัยจากภยันตรายต่างๆ ในยามที่บ้านเมืองเกิดความโกลาหล

The blessing bone Phra Pidta from Wat Pho is one of the spirit-infused amulets in the family of “The Blessing Bone Powder Amulets Of Wat Pho (Phra Pong Kradook Phee Wat Pho)”.This sacred line includes several distinct designs and is regarded as one of Thailand’s oldest and most renowned spirit-type amulets, created from a mixture that includes human bone relics.It is widely revered for its supernatural power and spiritual potency, especially during the eras of World War II and the Indochina War, when many believed in its protective and miraculous properties.

According to recorded accounts, Phra Arjarn Nu, a highly revered Khmer monk renowned for his mastery of mystical arts and profound knowledge of occult sciences, was the creator of the blessing one powder amulets of Wat Pho. It was during that time that a strange and chilling term emerged “The Ghost Soldiers”, this name arose from a series of supernatural incidents involving a group of Thai soldiers who were directly struck by enemy gunfire, yet miraculously suffered no injuries or deaths. Some merely fell to the ground, only to rise again and continue fighting. The enemy troops, witnessing such unbelievable events, were terrified, for the Thai soldiers seemed like undying spirits, impervious to bullets. Thus, they came to be known as the ghost soldiers.

The uniqueness of the blessing one powder amulets of Wat Pho lies not only in its renowned protective powers, but also in its remarkable blessings of fortune and charm. These amulets were consecrated using special mystic powders under the profound concept “We help them, they help us back” to continue the legendary lineage of the blessing bone Phra Pidta originally created by Phra Arjarn Nu in ancient times. The ceremony was held for devotees to take part in merit-making on October 15, 2025. It is firmly believed that the spiritual power of Luang Por Chamnan’s blessing bone Phra Pidta is no different from that of Phra Arjarn Nu’s original creation, a true spiritual successor, as the primary sacred materials used are of the very same mystical kind, ensuring the amulet’s potent and authentic power.

 "If you understand, you will gain true insight". This is a question that many people may still wonder about, why did Luang Por Chamnan create sacred amulets containing an element known as "Mystic Powder (Phong Phrai)"???

Some may never have known about this before, some may have a partial understanding, while others may have gained a deeper insight into the true meaning of "Pattānummodanā-maya". Therefore, today we would like to present and clarify the words that Luang Por Chamnan shared with his disciples, in order to explain and expand upon their meaning, so that everyone may listen, understand, and gain clarity together, as follows:

The materials that Luang Por Chamnan used in creating the mystic powder known as “We Help Them, They Help Us" consist of white-and-black elemental masses belonging to those who have not yet reached their proper time to depart from this world. Out of Luang Por Chamnan’s boundless compassion, flowing like an inexhaustible river, he contemplated how these beings might be enabled to participate in the creation of merit together with humans.

One method deemed most appropriate and effective was to directly transform their elemental remains into sacred amulets, thereby serving as a medium to create a karmic bond of merit, connecting them with those who revere and keep these sacred amulets, in which they themselves are an integral part. Whenever the owner of the amulet performs a meritorious deed and dedicates their thoughts to these beings, they receive happiness through rejoicing in that merit. This act is known as "Pattānummodanā-maya" (merit gained through rejoicing in the good deeds of others with a pure heart, even without performing them ourselves.). In return, they bestow blessings upon the owner, wishing them success in various aspects of life, as an expression of gratitude for the kindness and goodwill shared between them.

For this edition, beyond the timeless artistry of the Phra Pidta design and the sacred materials that Luang Por Chamnan meticulously selected, one element that must be specially highlighted is the “Mystic Powder” (Phong Phiset) that Luang Por used as the primary component. This special powder is known to possess intense spiritual energy and mystical power. To use such a potent substance in the creation of sacred amulets, the master must be deeply knowledgeable in ancient magics and fully versed in arcane incantations.

The process of crafting such a powder to reach its highest mystical efficacy, as prescribed in ancient scriptures, so that it bestows only blessings upon the devotee, requires intricate and profound spiritual rituals, far beyond the comprehension of ordinary people. Moreover, the person undertaking this sacred work must be a monk of great spiritual merit, one who has accumulated vast virtues and dedicated himself deeply to the service of Buddhism. It is believed that “The Higher The Spiritual Merit And Power Of The Creator, The More Potent And Effective The Mystic Powder Will Be.”

Thus, the mystic powder personally crafted by Luang Por Chamnan for the creation of this Phra Pidta edition is of the highest sanctity, infused with purity, spiritual power, supernatural force, and divine energy beyond comparison. The owner of this sacred amulet can wear it with complete confidence, knowing that supernatural being, mighty deities, venerable masters, and sacred energies rooted in the highest magical traditions have all been ritually invoked and fully embedded into this Phra Pidta. It was consecrated in the precise and authentic way passed down by the great masters of ancient times.

On Thursday, November 15, 2025, Venerable Luang Por Chamnan presided over the ceremony, lighting the victory candle and performing the meditation and blessing ritual to imbue the sacred power into the consecrated amulets.

In this ceremony, ten revered monks also joined in the chanting and blessing rites at the "Vihara Of The Venerable Teachers", a sanctuary that Luang Por Chamnan had envisioned and built as a place to enshrine Buddha images and the images of his respected mentors.

Therefore, it is believed that this series of sacred amulets is imbued with the spiritual strength and accumulated merit of these great teachers. Those who venerate them will be blessed with prosperity, success, and unwavering progress, triumphant in all endeavors, as though benevolent masters from above are ever guiding and supporting them.

The legend of this particular Phra Pidta (Eyes-Closing Buddha Amulet) dates back to the Indochina War era, nearly a century ago. Today, Luang Por Chamnan has successfully revived this legacy, bringing it vividly back to life with the low relief dimension model that captivates every eye.

Luang Por Poeng of Wat Chinwararam (Chao Athikan Poeng Kamalo), the 6th abbot of Wat Chinwararam, was born in 1837 (BE 2380) and passed away in 1925 (BE 2468).
