หุ่นพยนต์ คือ หุ่นจำลองรูปคนที่สร้างโดยผู้มีเวทย์มนต์คาถา เป็นความเชื่อในวิชาไสยศาสตร์ตั้งแต่ครั้งโบราณเรียกว่า “วิชาผูกหุ่น”สมัยโบราณโดยการใช้หญ้าแพรก,ไม้ไผ่,ขี้ผึ้ง,หรือผ้ายันต์แต่ปัจจุบันนี้ที่นิยมกันมาก คือ การสร้างจากโลหะอาถรรพณ์ ที่ใครๆยอมรับว่าขลังเป็นทวีคูณจากวัตถุอาถรรพณ์เหล่านี้ โดยทำเป็น หุ่นคนมีแขนมีขาแล้วปลุกเสกด้วยคาถาอาคม

Hun Payon, created by Luang Por Mian Kalyano, abbot of Wat Ban Chaniang in Krasang District, Buriram Province. A renowned Khmer-born monk, he consecrated the amulet at the Ubosot of Wat Chaniang Wanaram in Krasang District, Buriram Province.

Luang Por Mian is an expert in black magic and incantations. He is skilled in creating magical hun Payon amulets, following the ancient mystical traditions of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, a highly sacred temple. He recounts that ancient people created hun Payon to guard Angkor Wat, maintaining its safety to this day. They were also distributed to villagers for protection, earning him great respect.

Hun Payon is a human figure created by a practitioner of magic spells. This practice, known as "Hun Payon Binding," is a practice of occult science dating back to ancient times. Traditionally, it was created using grass, bamboo, beeswax, or talismanic cloth, but today, it is more popularly created using magical metals. These magical objects are recognized as being multiplied in power by everyone. They are created as human puppets with arms and legs and then consecrated with incantations.

In the consecration process, Luang Por Mian separates the puppets and consecrates them individually, summoning the spirit of the puppets and placing them within each puppet, following the principles of Kasina. This involves consecrating them to create a ukhanimit, supporting the four elements, invoking formulas, invoking names, and invoking the mind to exert their power and influence on the five aggregates. The 32 characteristics are invoked through anuloma-patiloma. Finally, the puppets are imbued with the breath of life, fixing their form and name. This chanting continues until the puppets move, summoning their spirits to give them power and presence.

The enchanted puppets have the power to attract good fortune, attract wealth, and attract kindness and popularity. They are focused on warding off inauspiciousness, evil powers, and demons, protecting against black magic, windstorms, and warding off and eliminating evil spirits.
